Cleansed????
So far..so good……

I’ve started eating oatmeal and drinking protein shakes for breakfast. It will be either/ or for a while…..

My eating pattern seems to be a lot more food towards the end of the day… so I have decided to give my self an eating curfew :). No food whatsoever after 9 pm.

Along with changing my diet I wanted to give myself some what of a FRESH START. Since I’m not eating anymore junk food I want all of the bad remnants gone. My Mom found this herbal medicine called RENU HERBS…..

Now I’ll start by saying I don’t really know if this stuff works. Renu Herbs has a line of Colon Cleansers and Detox Teas and that’s what I have started to use. They also have Parasite removers, Weight Loss pops, and Hair Products. A friend of mind that is a soon to be doctor ( S/O to Dr. Jegede) claims that you don’t need to actually CLEANSE your COLON. It happens on its own. But I don’t see the problem in helping it along lolol. Especially if it is with all natural products.

Do any of you know of other natural products that clean the system or help with weight loss???




Update 1/3/09: These RENU Herbs work. I won’t go into details..but let’s just say I feel cleansed :) .

A couple more cleansing tools are Herbal teas, as suggested by Vickie below,  or a Caribbean Remedy I learned of Castor Oil and Beer ( don’t ask it just works lolol)

The Genesis
At the suggestion of a friend I decided to blog about my weight loss journey. I’m going to stay honest with my supporters. In return, I hope you will judge and make me feel bad if I cheat (joking) but most of all ……keep me MOTIVATED. Along the way I hope that we can share information that may be helpful to one another.

After graduating from college and starting grad school, I needed to lose the extra poundage I had put on in the last few years. I started in late 2007, going from my heaviest 285 lbs…..and getting down to 235lbs. I had surgery on my foot in Jan ‘09 and it was all downhill form there. No more gym…..more time in bed….and bad foods = FAT ASS. I slowly started to lose all the muscle I built up and put on 20 pounds. So here I am today.. starting all over again…

Current Stats:

Height: 5’8
Weight: 255lbs
BMI: 38
Dress Size: 20

My Goals:

TO BE FIT…..not looking to get skinny here. I’d like to get my BMI below 25 and be able to run 5 miles without stopping


The Initial Plan:

Diet:
ONLY Water….with an occasional vodka tonic when I go out ( thanks Brit)
No Junk food ( McDonalds..Chinese etc.)
No Red meat…this is so hard around the holidays …(I want my Curry Goat lolol)
Eat Fruit and vegetables at least once a day…

Exercise:
Gym at least 3 times a week…..
I love to dance….so I will try to take as many classes as I can.
